hey all
am going on a wee trip over to oxford(well, headington) to visit my friend, then going to southampton to visit some relatives!!
looking for cheapest way to get to southampton via train??
also, if anyone can recommend a good b and b in headington that would be great!!

I'm not sure about Southampton, but if you book ahead, you can get £4 single tickets to London from Oxford on First Great Western's site. You might be able to get something cheap from London on Megatrain.com, but I think it's a bit random as to what's available.
As for the B&B, are you looking for something nice/upscale or more basic? Also, it's more fun, imo to be in the city proper than in Headington.Pick battles big enough to matter, small enough to win. - Jonathan Kozol0 -

Train is from £18 return (buy two singles - put route into National Rail website for details)0
