B&Q sale

Just ordered a kitchen from B&Q and saved a packet. The entire kitchen including dishwasher/double oven/extractor/integrated FF/sink is €4000. They already had their seasonal (4 times a year) 1/2 price door and drawer fronts but now they have an additional 15% off the units themselves and....the appliances! I will fit it myself so I'm chuffed with that. I've fitted a B&Q one before and it's easy enough.
A good time to buy a B&Q kitchen methinks.

I bought a kitchen before christmas from b and q, and got quite peeved when there was massive reductions (despite being given reassurances that this would not be the case). I have learnt the following from my experiences:
1)they have the capacity to give you 5% off the price (regardless of sales etc).Remember B and Q is also on quidco
2)the white goods, sinks handles etc do tend to be overpriced, I shop around for these else where.
3)There are the occassional deals/offers that surprise surprise are sold out, do not be shy in voicing your disgust. Replacements always seem to appear
4)dont be afraid of walking out, especially after they have designed the kitchen, they will phone you back
5)never ever buy a kitchen without getting a gaurantee that you will be protected by a sale (the manager at my local branch said that this is common practice)
6)Do remember that the prices of kitchens go up in december so that they can come down in the sales!!! (again from the manager)
hope this is helpful

If you are thinking of buying a kitchen from B&Q and wanted it installed. Think twice about using their installation service - you will find lots of reviews by googling.0

As far as i'm aware B&Q Installations only cover kitchens, bathrooms and fires.
Built in wardrobes are quite easy to fit. I'm very much a novice but managed to fit mine in an afternoon.
If you require any advice B&Q do employ trademans to help with any queries. A chippy instore will be able to advise.
Must admit when i was fitting mine i had a couple of queries as i was doing it, though i just phoned my local store, spoke to the chippy and he gave me advise over the phone.0 -
How do the B & Q units quality compare with ones from Wickes?0
