help me if u can-i need a cake!!!

Hello,

Please help me! I am arranging a surprise 25th anniversary in ireland. I need a cake though! I live in Stockport (near Manchester) and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good cake shop in my area.

I have looked on the internet and found lots of places but, i really need someone to recommend one. Just so i know that it is good! It needs to be good so it will keep well.

Plus, does anyone have any tips on how to keep the cake fresh in transport???????/

Why not buy a cake online from somewhere like Meg Rivers https://www.megrivers.com and have it delivered so that you don't have to transport it? I have used Meg Rivers before for Mother Day cakes and they are gorgeous.

Have you thought about the M&S/Asda/Tesco ready iced celebration cakes that come in different sized layers and order a fresh flower cake topper to be picked up in Ireland on the day of the celebration? The cakes should be fairly easy to transport.

If you would like a phone number of a lady who makes cakes, feel free to pm me (local to Stockport)

I found out about her through family and friends who have used her many times and so she made our wedding cake. It was beautiful, and everyone wanted to know where we'd got it from!!.

She can show you digital photos of all the cakes she has previously made or let you choose from a book. Alternatively, if you have an idea of what you want, you can show her a picture from a book or magazine or just a rough sketch you have drawn yourself...she is soooooooo talented! The prices are amazing too, I thought she had told us the wrong price and had to querie it with her it was so reasonable.

Do you have a costco within reach? or know someone who does? they do huge cakes which are very good and you can specify which occasion you want, although they do need to be ordered but the cost last time i ordered was £10.
The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Do you have, or can get, a photo from the wedding 25 years ago as Asda can put them onto a very nice sponge cake for about £10.

Boss did this for his twin daughter's 30 birthday with a baby pic and it looked really good ;)

Yes they are very nice you can choose butter iceing and or jam filling, we order one if we are having a kids birthday party as there is allways plenty to go around and plenty left too and the cake is sooo yummy and can be personalised to whatever you want.

I have bought lots of celebration cakes from various branches of Costco and they've all been good. You can order by phone and then collect the cake. I think they need 48 hours notice for an order.

    Enjoy the party!
