Just received a lovely email from someone who works at AuthorHouse advising me that my publishing guide is in the post and that she would like to phone me to discuss my publishing needs. Woohoo! :D

Forward Press are a really good company in my eyes. :) I've had quite a few of my poems published with them. A lot of people ask me if I get paid for it and I think you and I both know that the answer is no, unless you won the Top 100 Poets Of The Year competition which they discontinued but to me it's all about experience. :)

    xx

Didn't mean to mislead anyone about Forward Press - I too think they're good, and no they never paid me although I was promised royalties from them..... I dreampt of winning Top 100 Poets but it never happened :o But there are some companies that will pay for your work. I once had a 60 word piece published in a mag and got £60 - no big money for me :D Good luck with the book - keep us posted.

It's nice to finally meet someone who has used Forward Press. Most people I have told about it are like "Who?".lol. :)

I too dreamt of winning Top 100 Poets and it also never happened. We can dream though, can't we? One of my goals is to be a Featured Poet on the Forward Press website. :D

I wish you all the luck in the world. :) If you ever want to chat about the publishing business and just writing in general feel free to PM me. :)
