I'm after an all-in one Printer/Scanner/Copier please!

Hiya,
I'm trying to help my Dad find a bargain, so would appreciate some help!
He's after an all-in-one Printer/Scanner/Copier, and as it's for mainly scanning photos across to a Mac, it has to be decent quality (and Mac-friendly) although he doesn't want to pay more than £100.
DELL are doing what looks like a half-decent one on their site...
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&id=print_928&l=en&s=dhs
..although I've no experience of Dell, so, are they worth going for?
Also, what's the best make/model to go for, when it comes to replacement cartridges? I've found a site called bigpockets.co.uk, and they seemed competitive, but again, no experience of them!
Any pointers towards a decent model would be most appreciated.
We're after one with an LCD display, memory card reader, and really, just one that produces great results for photos!
Many Thanks,
Leigh.

Can't help with the Dell.
Slightly over £100, bought a Cannon MP610, 2 months ago(paid £110, got it from an internet company). We run it from a PC. Very pleased with quality and performance.0 -
Thanks for the info.
Could you please provide a link to the site, where you bought it from?
Many Thanks

Hi,
I have recently bought a Canon Pixma MP520 all in one for my iMac. On the Jessops web site it was £79.95 and in store £99.95 so I ordered on the net for collection at store. I am very pleased with it's performance.0 -
Thanks for the info littleowl.
I'll have a look, and will let Dad know too!0 -
From 1st March, Canon have been offering cashback on some all-in-ones. Lasts till 13 April.
For example, the Canon PIXMA MP210 is available for under £40 (saw some in Tesco a couple of nights ago) with £20 cashback
http://www.canon.co.uk/mp210cashback/
Seems a lot of printer for the price...
The other cashback deals are
PIXMA MX700 £40
MX310 £20
MX300 £200 -
We got an Epson DX4050 from Amazon for £35 delivered, a great printer, and compatable inks are cheap on Amazon, or ink.co.uk.0

Wheres the currant thread on the Canon Pixma MP 210/ Amazon/PC world £20 cashback gone? when i click "My profile"-find all threads, my posts have just dissapeared, any ideas anyone0

Roddydogs - same with me. I've been away for a few days but I'm sure I posted after I ordered one of the things from Amazon at £34.xx - I made some comment about applying for an Amazon credit card and using the £15 voucher they give you. I didn't do this but it would give you a free all-in-one when combined with the £20 cashback.
So what happened to that thread?0 -
I've just bought a Canon MP210 from PC World for about £40 and am in the process of claiming back my £20 from Canon.
Its fantastic and very easy to use.
Best bargain around if u ask me!What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
Check e.g. http://www.trustedreviews.com/printers/review/2007/11/10/Dell-Photo-928-All-in-One-Printer/p1 for an opinion on that Dell. Not inspiring!
We've been looking for much the same thing this week. Now, I'm no great fan of Dixon's/Currys/PCWorld, (http://www.pcworld.co.uk) but because they have such a high market share they do sometimes make decent offers. And they have one or two that look quite good at present. We bought an HP C4380 for £80. This supports WiFi connection in addition to USB. The store also had some C4280s without the WiFi capability for £60. The HP website says both these models support Mac as well as PC. All in all, these are remarkably similar to the Dell you mention, but get much better reviews.
An additional feature that attracted me to the HP C4000 series and leads me to think you might like to look at these models is that it is possible to (temporarily, if you wish) replace the black cartridge with a secondary 3-colour one which will turn it into a 6-dye printer. Going by my previous experience with Epsons, that should substantially improve the quality of photos.
The Canon Pixma 520 mentioned by others was also on my shortlist and has the benefit of a larger screen. That didn't weigh heavily with me as I preview all my photos on the PC.0
