Loan

Hello

I have been offered a loan of £8,000 and the repayments over 60 months would be 218 a month, meaning I would pay back £13,000

Is this a total con??

That's an APR of just over 21%.............you can do better.

  • Thanks so much for that chuckles.

Do you mind telling me how you worked out the APR please? It seems a bit of a mystery!

    Thanks

I have an Excel spreadsheet floating about where you input loan amount, monthly repayment, loan term and any other charges and it calculates the APR.

Just a quick query on this.

Are these figures with or without PPI?
After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

    Dad Gift 6k ¦ Savings & Inv Tst: £2,500
    Loan 10k: £0 ¦ Dad 5.5k: £2,270 ¦ LTSB: £0 ¦ RBS: £0 ¦ Virgin £0 ¦ Egg £0

    Total Owed: £2,270 (+6k) 11/08/2011
  • Hi George
