I have just found out that I have been offered a place at uni!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Its not just any place, its the course i have been wanting to do for 5 years and have been studying for 2 years to get onto! Last year I did my key skills in maths and English ( equals GCSE grade c) This year I have been doing an Access course, like A-levels.
Well I need to raise money but I am not sure how much? If all goes to plan DH will be leaving work to become MR mum and we shall be living off grants and so on. I need a cushion to fall back on, as we are hoping dh can leave work in July so as the summer holidays are easier ( we have 5 kids, one with special needs). So how much do I need as a cushion? I was thinking 3-4 months mortgage payments, until my grants kick in. We already get tax credits and so on weekly so I think that would just about be enough to cover bills and food over and above mortgage.
This is going to be another challenge, I feel it coming on!

How old are the kids, would it not be wiser to get DH to reduce his hours, rather than wipe them out completely? If he did 9-3 when the kids are at school maybe?
Well done for getting your place, very exciting, enjoy!!!
