I bought a pair of desks £70 ish (quite expensive for chipboard stuff but it looked good) around nov/dec time, (chrome and walnut chipboard top). When i got them they had a couple of dents in but small enough for it not to be worth me returning. Now the vaneers rubbing off where i rest my arms (the colouring) and even worse than that is i put a sticker down that i had peeled off somethign pulled it off the table again and it took some of the veneers colouring too (talk about crap quality). the chipboard must be really cheap nowadays as you can almost dent it by poking it with your finger. I dont know if its worth complaining though... what you think? (I maybe able to post pics)

I got a desk from Argos, and mines the same. And if you get a bit of water on it the veneer comes off as well0

I would take them back as they are clearly unsatisfactory quality for 4 months use0

I might do that, they dont do em anymore but its just silly I remember buying a £24.99 desk and it lasting all sorts of torture with only the sides taking any damage. we bought a pine effect laminated sideboard with 2 drawers and 2 cupboards, less than a metre long from Argos. It was £59.99 so thought it might be good enough quality but we built it and the drawers were so tight we could not open them and one overlapped the other plus in a few places the laminate had been filled with white filler where it did not match up.
We only bought from there as we had consumer pulse vouchers to spend but will never touch argos furniture again.
I will stick to Ikea in future0
