The tip in the previous post works, but if you use the following link you can get a student subscription for £82:

    www . student-subscription-service . co . uk / magazine-new-scientist.asp

Sorry it isn't an active link - apparently I can't post links yet as I'm 'new user'.

There are lots of other mags on there too. I haven't read the fine print but it seems legit to me!

Just ordered from this site student-subscription-service.co.uk/magazine-new-scientist.asp and all seems above board, although the price was actually £86 but still very competitive, the best I could find. They also have a cheaper subscription for £43 which is for 26 issues.

It’s a thumbs up from me.

  • I have just subscribed at 50% discount using code 4892 at the web address given in post #7 and you don't need to be a student to use it. £86 for one year or you can get 6 months at 45% discount.

    Confirmed.

Just bought a 1year subscription for £86 (listed as 50% discount) but there's also the option to pay £22 quarterly (listed as a 45% discount).

grr.. apparently I'm a 'new user' too even though my join date is 13-03-2008 lol ;)..

Just keep trying 4 random numbers (in place of the XXXX) until you get the 50% discount up - I saw offers appear for 20%, 40% and 50%.

XXX=4625 just worked for me but by the time you read this the number may have changed.
