Northern Rock Unsecured Loan

The thing you have to watch with NR is that you can pay off what you like say take it down to £100, but if youpay that £100 off within the tie in period thay charge you the penalty on the original balance. It wont affect the unsecued, but I would check that they dont count it as its on account and apply this rule.

I called NR up and i can make overpayments without any fees incurred. It automatically defaults to 50% off mortgage 50% off unsecured loan so if you want ot just pay off the unsecured loan with the overpayments then just ask and they will arrange it.82k mortgage (74k mortgage, 8k unsecured loan)
