Sorry, not much advice to give but lots of sympathy. I've been in a negative equity situation - i.e. couldn't sell, basically because of dishonest estate agents and dodgy freeholders. I understand the anger bit, believe me, and can only imagine that with the sleep deprivation from twin babies it all gets magnified about 10,000 times.
I really hope you can get some help from CAB cos this sounds a bit too big for even the Moneysavers forum to handle.
Hope you'll feel able soon to swallow your anger at what has happened and concentrate your energies on finding somewhere cheaper to live. All the best with it......0 -

Ginny - you must be fairly local to me. If you follow Mortgage Mamma's advice and look at social housing, you would be best to look at these sites........

Hi ian
Also Ginny have a look at this also

I would also request a copy of your file from the brokerage that sold you the mortgage and the secured loan. I'm not normally one to encourage someome to take such drastic action but if you really feel you have been stuffed and not advised properly then you may have a caseI am a Mortgage Adviser
You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. This signature is here as I follow MSE's Mortgage Adviser Code of Conduct. Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as financial advice.0
