I recently switched to a five year fixed rate mortgage. My building society charged me £349 arrangement fee and £100 administtration fee.Is this fair, and if not can I reclaim any of this money?

Did you not query these fees at the time?
If so why did you pay up if you thought they were unfair?0 -
Lol, another one of these threads! Please use the search function.

note to self.
Do not be snappy to people who ask silly questions about claiming money back on valid retail costs. Do not ask them if they try to claim their weekly shopping bill back. Do not give them an example relating the charge to other things, such as asking asking Currys for a replacement TV every two years and not paying for it because they paid first time round. Do not point out that this is an FAQ that they could have checked using the search function. Do not pass go, do not collect £200.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). You mean I cant have something for nothing. This is an outrage!

If you'd added "do not post in future" we might have even thought you'd learnt something today.
