£4 book token tesco

hi there. has any one successfully used the £4 book token voucher (in today's Mail) in Tesco's today. i have just come back from the store and the operator could not get the coupon to scan.

hi, I have used this coupon 3 times in Tesco's on different shops, the assistant on one of the occasions couldn't get it to scan so she rand the supervisor and told her to type the barcode in instead.

It's the poor quality of the printed barcode in some issues of todays newpaper that is causing the till being unable to read it. The code needs to be typed in by the SA.

Just used one tonight in Tesco where she had to use the hand scanner so no problem.

Is there an internet link for this voucher like there was a few weeks ago to print them off?

It always amazing me that the numptys at the Daily Mail (hope someone from the Mail is reading this or someone can pass on the comments) can manage to print in glorious technicolor photos of this, that and the other but when it comes to a simple black and white barcode they have the upmost difficulty in producing something that clear and till readable. My local Mr T said that they are NOT allowed to key in codes anymore - if a coupon doesn't scan they can't take it. :mad:

Come on Mr Mail get your finger out and sought out your printing presses.
