I use a thermos flask!
It does the job and as I already had it no need to fork out for a yogurt maker!
All I do is warm the flask first, gently heat some UHT milk, stir in a large tablespoon of milk powder and about the same of some existing live yogurt, pour in the flask and leave overnight. Hey presto! Yogurt in the morning!
I do strain it though as I like the smooth, set type yogurts

I have one of the yoghurt makers which have individual glass pots. Adrienne do you have any hints for making fruit style yoghurts? By that I mean recipes you make up after you have made the plain yog. So far I tend to use my yoghurts in smoothies, as I am a little squeamish (ridiculous I know) about eating it plain.Grocery Challenge £139/240 until 31/01

Boot Fairs are great places to buy yoghurt maker, good luck.
Easy recipe for fruit yoghurt, I add mashed banana, buy the cheap one when they are really ripe, you can also add a little honey.0 -
I have a few favourite flavours for my HM yogurt, bananas and flaked toasted almonds, crumbled flapjack, apple sauce (bought jar) and HM fruit conserve (jam that didn't set very well). If I screw my eyes up tight I can just about see where you're coming from0
