Everyone has been so helpful on here and I thank you all so much for that and your support and advice - I hope I can give you all the same back.
With regard to the £1 payment thing - Do I need to send me creditors a letter with a £1 postal order and just say Im on review with Payplan?0 -

That's exactly what to do. Have they given you your ID number yet? If so include that in the letter, I found the creditors backed off completely once I quoted our Payplan ID at them
.
Good luck with it all.

Anyone help??
I am a bit nervous about sending them all a £1 token! - Surely I will have all kinds of defaults and legal proceedings warnings from them???

They take a while to come in.
You just need to write a letter to say you are dealing with payplan and while they gather the information could they freeze the interest on the account, provide a balance of account and you enclose a token payment of a £1 as a good will gesture.0 -

Naah - they might ring or write to you just to say you have missed a payment - that's all. Then they might ask for the "rest of the payment" just say you're contacting CCCS/Payplan about a DMP and will be in touch with reference details shortly.
They were all fine about that for me

to begin with I sent off a letter with my CCCS number and a token payment. Yes my creditors did write and ring threatening all sorts but within a month of my 1st DMP payment all of this stopped and all my creditors have now stopped interest. When they ring you just tell them you have a dmp with payplan, ask them only to contact you in writing ( they will probably ring despite this coz they seem to be above the law!) Some will pass you debt to debt collectors and to be honest I found this better as they seem to stop interest very quickly. Dont despair dont be scared intitially it is scary with all the treatening phone calls and letters but they will soon go away. A DMP was the best thing I ever did my debt is going down every month and I can buy food etc without putting it on my credit card. good luck0

Thank you sooooooo much - you have all put my mind at ease with your replies. Now I have my budget and proposed payments from Payplan. I emailed them and asked for the paperwork to be sent to I can sign and start up. I presume they will need to see payslips etc etc etc?0

Is there a link anywhere where I can see the letter I need to send to my creditors about giving them a token payment??0
