Can someone please explain my tax rebate situation when stopping work and being kept on by my employer. I will be stopping work halfway through the tax year so expect to receive some tax return but wondered if this will be done automatically. thanks

I think you will have to reclaim it direct from HMRC for 08/09.0

if your employer keeps you on the payroll, he should make refunds of tax to you on each pay day until the end of the tax year. He will put you through the payroll on nil earnings which will throw up refunds until all the refund due to you is paid.£705,000 raised by client groups in the past 18 mths :beer:0
