I applied for their magazin through Pigsback to get some points and today had a phonecall from them. They offer goods at retail price, savings on financial services, insurance, travel and also a C/C with 0% int. for 12 mth on balance transfer and purchases and no BTF! The way they make their money is they charge £89 registration fee and also anual membership (can't remember how much). They have special promotion at the mo of 2 month free membership. You can take the offer and if you change your mind in 2 mth you can cancell your membership, keep any goods or services you purchased and you'll also get registration fee back. Had a quick look on their site and they also offer 100% cash back when you buy through their site.
Has anyone had any dealings with this company? Any feedback welcome. I did a search on here but couldn't find anything.
I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the link but it's not hard to figure out, it has co uk at the end.
Thanks.

Why pay for a company to give you freebies or offers when you have a fab website like MSE that does it all for nowt.Have a read on the different forums on here and i am sure you will find (for no cost) the offers and much more that they are charging for.
Also for cashback go through one of the cashback sites like Quidco."Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away."0 -
Good point sloppychops, thanks. I do like their C/C offer and also if the goods are at retail price that's a hard offer to match.Official DFW Member no:4100

I wondered if anyone had heard of the Money Club (http://www.themoneyclub.co.uk/) - or indeed if any of you are or have been members?
You have to pay to register (about £80) and then pay a annual fee (about £98), but they have a 2 month trial offer at the moment where you only have to pat the registration fee and if after the 2 months you are not happy they say they will refund this to you.
They claim to save you 10 - 50 % off just about all purchases, by going directly to the manufacturer and working out a deal, and that way it misses out on the percentage the high street shop will take.
I'm just not happy about having to pay moiney upfront and would like to know if any of you have any experience of this money club? And if you think it is worthwhile?

I have vague knowledge of the money club as I got a cold call a few months ago and to get the guy off the phone I agreed to get some details from them but when I learnt they charged a joining fee etc.I was off because that is a lot of hypothetical savings just to get my money back:eek:

According to THIS REVIEW it is a complete waste of time and money. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

Thanks, your thoughts are helpful.
Looking at that review site, there are 9 reviews, 7 bad and 2 good. However one review (http://www.ciao.co.uk/The_Money_Club__Review_5693799) mentions that the other users are using the site incorrectly, that you should find the best price you can via the net etc and then call the money club with the price you found and claims that they will always get you a better price?
I'm still not 100% decided - but I guess I'm thinking it may be best not to bother - I do hate parting with my cash!0
