ive been clearing debt for a while now and i recently cleared another debt,so i thought,i had £352 to go and when i phoned the company they said £192 now and your free as a bird! so i paid this on 22nd feb 08.then on 4th march i recieve a letter from the said company saying my dec 07 payment bounced at the bank and my account has been re opened with a £100 balance now?,this was the bank bouncer,can they do that?especially as they offered full settlement at the end of feb,can any one help me? is this legal?.
Tricky one, as you were making payment based on their advice of final balance, even though in your heart of hearts you thought it was more... got to be worth a conversation with someone to ascertain if you are liable.
What date did you have the conversation re final balance with them, and did you know about the bouncer?
Or better still ask the masses on a thread of your own, like PAP said.I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

Evening All
Hows everyone, IA hope the trial is going ok, presuming you have gone??
Busy day, week for me and feels like I haven't stopped. Looking after my 1 year old godson all day tomorrow (as well as my 2 yr old dd) so going to try and get a bit organised as its going to be hard work! What the hell am I going to do all day...used to being able to pop on here as and when!
Thank goodness its Friday tomorrow and then the weekend! yippppeeeeI'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change And breakaway. I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change and breakaway ....
