Fruit and Veg Keep Fresh Bags

Not sure if this will be of interest to anybody but on QVC today (2 August 2005) they have got as their special value some bags that you put your fruit or vegetables in and they are supposed to keep them fresher for much longer. To me (if they work) this is definately money saving as I tend to throw an awful lot of fruit and vegetables out as they go soft or mouldy.
On the demonstration they showed some carrots that had been in these bags for 28 days and some carrots that had just been in the fridge in the bags they came in. The ones in these special bags were all bright and crisp but the ones that had been stored in their original bags were very dull looking and bendy. They also showed strawberries that had been in the fridge for a week in these bags were fresh and plump but the ones that hadn't been in these bags were all mouldy and squishy.

Don't know if they work or not but I though it was worth a go.
