We are heading down to Enniskillen this weekend. Planning to go into Enniskillen town on Saturday afternoon/evening.
Any suggestions for a cosy - not posey LOL pub? Also a nice restaurant, nothing to plush or fancy to have dinner in.
How much approx would a taxi be from the Killyhevlin to Enniskillen town centre?
Thanks a lot!

The 'restaurant' in the butter market is a cafe, ok for a sandwich, but not a saturday evenin meal! There is a lovely restaurant in the Butter Market.
Franco's is a decent place for a feed, but be prepared for a long wait for service, not many other good places to eat at the mo.. 'scoff's' is lovely but pricey..
Taxi would be about 3 quid max,
And head to blake's bar on the main st, best pub imho..:beer:0 -
Thanks for that! Will check those places outNorn Iron club member - 2650

The Crows Nest used (been a while)to have live music most nights and the pub food is good.
If you fancy a nice steak the Steakhouse in Ballinamallard is worth a look. Flexible opening hours as well- But again been a while.:D
If you are staying in the Killyhevlin its not too far to walk into the town so a taxi wouldnt be sore on you.0 -
Crow's Nest is a decent bar. Decent food, good music and plenty of people about it.0

Good food available in Blakes -Cafe Merlot. They do a great early evening (pre theatre ) menu and the food is very New Ireland avant garde. We had a great meal there last Friday night and it was excellent. Let us know how ou get on!0

Had a lovely weekend in the Killyhevlin. The hotel is lovely. We ate in the hotels 'Silks' Restaurant on the Fri night (part of the package) The food was lovely but the service a bit slow.
We went in to Enniskillen on Saturday, went shopping then to the pub! Ended up in Pats bar as the rain came on and stayed for most of the day watching the rugby and the football. Early evening we walked back down the town and went into http://www.horseshoeandsaddlers.com/ for dinner - in the saddlers bistro part of the restaurant. It was lovely.
So all in all a lovely weekend!
Thanks for all the suggestions.:beer:Norn Iron club member - 2650 -

As mentioned above, you can't go far wrong with Blakes of the Hollow and Cafe Merlot...
...and I think a taxi from the Killy would be closer to £4 or £5 these days - depending on the time of night!0 -
Heading back down to Enniskillen in 2 weeks for a few days break. Any other restaurant suggestions for a Tues night? Something middle ranged (not KFC but not £20 a main course lol) (though I do love KFC:rotfl: )
