bridging loan company, how do i check if reputable
I am going to have a bridging loan of 400,000 and a mortgage of 170,000.
bridging loan period 1 month
2 bridging loan companies have contacted me but I am know having a few concerns as to how reputable they are.
one mortgage adviser can provide both through 2 different companies .
mortgage with Capital Home Loans Ltd who are registered.
Bridging loan with a company called Richmond Financial Services in Preston. This appears to be a house in a residential area. the company name does not appear on the FSA register nor the director Mr J P Newsham.
The second Emriclands Investments form Glasgow also not sure of
Any ideas only have 1 Week now to go

At the end of the day, if they are lending you money you shouldn't care if they are reputable - it should be the other way round!
But of course you need to probe all the Ts & Cs with a fine-tooth comb.0 -
How did they contact you unless you contacted them first?
A bank will be able to offer a 'closed' bridging loan for about 1.5% over base rate if your credit history is ok (NB Arrangement fee of 1% is par for course + other legal expenses ie taking Solicitors undertaking possible making you sign a second mortgage over your existing property in case anything goes wrong with your sale etc)
Is this comparable with what you have been offered?
With only a week to go I think you have put yourself in a position where you won't have much choice in my opinion!0
