Hi folks,
I'm hoping someone can give me a hand here as my head is spinning. I am looking at changing jobs from my current local authority employer of which I am a member of their final salary pension scheme.
I have been paying into the scheme since I was 22, I am now 26 but will obviously have to sort out my own pension plan from here on in.
Question is how the hell do I go about it ? Theres so much to take in I'm just looking for somewhere easy to start
Essentially some figures would be handy, how much should I be looking to pay in if my new job pays 25k gross ? What returns would I be looking at when I retire ?
Sorry for the lame opening question. My heads still spinning at the moment ....
Cheers,
- J

You could use this Online Calculator to start your research;

It's not perfect but can give you a rough idea of how much you might need to put aside to obtain a pension equivalent to an amount.'In nature, there are neither rewards nor punishments - there are Consequences.'0
