Pay a bill online

Hi,
A friend has had their BT phoneline disconnected (non payment) Is it possible for me to pay the bill online? Would I just need the account number?
Thanks for any advice.

I don't know really has your friend set up an online account with bt if so just login to her/his account and pay it...although it would probably be dealt with quicker if you rang them on 150 and paid it over the phone then you could ask them to re-instate the line...if that's what she/he is after...

Thanks for the information Ice. Do you happen to know the cost of reinstating the line?

not off hand but I think it could be a stupid amount....something like £125 which is a stupid amount if you ask me...try asking them when you pay the bill they may come to some arrangement or you could say that you need it as a life line as your friend could be taken ill due to a illness and that he needs the phone re-connected asap...you don't have to say what the illness is...and it may work and you may not have to pay a penny...but then again this is bt we are talking about here...good luck..
