Registering a second business

Hi,

Not sure if this is the correct forum, sorry if its not!

I have been registered with HMRC as self employed for just over 18 months now. I am now looking to start a second internet based business, I aim to start after 5th April to save having to fill in a tax return for the sake of 4 weeks. What i wanted to know was will I have to fill in two separate tax returns for the two businesses, or will i just fill in one and combine the totals from each?

Cheers,

pmorrison

You can only ever make one self assessment which shows the total of all your income. However, if you have two businesses or even two jobs, you complete separate self employment pages or separate employment pages for each business/job.
