£10 off EVERY £50 spent at House of Fraser for all American Express cardholders

What's the deal?
Until 31 March, American Express is giving all credit and charge cardholders a £10 discount for EVERY £50 spent in House of Fraser stores. Importantly, you can use more than one voucher in a transaction, so an item costing £200 could be had for £160 with four vouchers; an instant saving of 20%.
How to get the discount
Simply request your vouchers by sending an email with your full name and address to Houseoffraservouchers@aexp.com. Full details of this offer can be found on American Express' website.
To find your nearest store visit the House of Fraser site (the offer includes Beatties and Jenners too).
What you need to do to qualify
This voucher should be accepted on most items in-store, but some departments are excluded so do check before making your purchase. You need to pay for the goods fully on an American Express card so ensure you repay the card in full at the end of the month so there's no interest. Sadly you can't use the vouchers to buy gift vouchers (it thought of that one).
Haven't got an American Express card?
Unfortunately you're not eligible for this promotion, but the Amex Platinum* card offers a top deal to new customers: you'll get 5% cashback on all purchases for the first threes months (£5 credit per £100 spent) so it's well worth considering getting one. I've requested some vouchers, thanks martin. How many do they send you though, do I have to email them per voucher or is it a book of vouchers? TIA Hoping we'll be able to get a home cinema from our store!0
-
The website says request a voucher by email i.e. not vouchers. So I guess it's just one. No reason why you couldn't request multiple ones for a household via request by different email addresses. T&C's do confirm that you can use multiple vouchers in a transaction.0

Does anyone know if this excludes the electrical department?0
-
No- but guessing the exclusions will most likely be mainly shop-in-shops,eg concessions0

Just got my voucher today, the only exclusions it says are restaurants, cafes, financial purchases and online purchases. We only got the one voucher, so Im gonna email for more, cos the home cinema we want is £149.99 (will find someithing for £1 to use 3 hopefully)
Although now reading terms and conds, it reads "Voucher entitles the Cardmember to £10 off per full £50 spent." To me that means I dont need any other vouchers, if I spend £150 spend the voucher should give £30 discount, anyone else agree? I will give it a go anyway.0 -

Unfortunately not.
Terms and Conditions

3. More than one voucher may be used in a single transaction. Each voucher entitles customer to £10 off per full £50 spent.
(from American Express website)
It all seems a bit daft. The inference is that by e-mailing you only get one voucher, yet you are able to use more than 1 voucher. Yes, you probably could send multiple requests under different names etc. but wouldn't be easier and cheaper for House of Fraser to issue several vouchers in one envelope and only pay for 1 posting?0 -
I have just e-mailed and asked for 4 vouchers. I quoted their terms and conditions to them in so far as more than 1 voucher can be used, and more or less inferred that if they are only able to send 1 voucher than basically don't bother as it's not worth saving £10 on a £210 coffee machine.
May have shot myself in the foot with that attitude but if 1 voucher was all they are intending to send then I don't feel I have lost out much.:think:0 -
My voucher came today, but it's really more of a spring mailing from Amex that includes 9 vouchers / offers ! They are :-
Furniture Village - 10% discount
Harveys - 15% discount
Heals - 10% discount
Selfridges - £10 gift voucher
Debenhams - £10 gift card. I've already posted details of this over here: click here
House of Fraser - £10 off when you spend £50
Heathrow / Gatwick Express - 20% discount
Easycar.com - 10% discount
Silverjet - 20%
If anyone wants any details of the particular offers / terms of the above let me know and I'll post them.0 -
Hi
I'd be very grateful for the FV voucher deatils! The sale is back on this weekend and want to buy 2 sofa!0 -
Hi - Just found the code V080008 on the Amex website, but it doesn't work on the FV website
Does anyone know if it's applicable on their sale prices? I would have thought so, as they have a sale on 99% of the time10
