"24" Series 4 DVD boxset

If you're one of the first 1000 people to take a test drive in a Nissan 4x4, you get a free DVD boxset of the latest series of "24".

Not sure how long it's been going on for, or whether there's any left, but it was advertised in the Sunday Times yesterday.

Official insert: The DVD boxset will be sent for the first 1000 test drive entries received after 15 August.

I saw this advert a week ago, i guessin by now 1000 have prob gone (esp cause it was advertised on radio) maybe im wrong though...suppose its worth calling up

Just read T & C's and DVD is for first 1000 test drives taken after 15th August.

Not only that,what they dont tell you is that the DVD winners are picked out of a draw.
You dont get the DVD when you go for the test drive,you get a voucher which you then post somewhere when you are entered for the draw for the DVDs.
(This is what I was told when I phoned the number)
Not only that its an 0845 number and you get asked atleast ?15-20 questions,and unless you dont stop him short straightaway will just go on and on!

I always wonder with these offers.....do you just walk into the showroom and say you are interested in the offer and want a test drive or do you have to pretend you are actually interested in buying the car?
Can they refuse to let you test drive?

Well "first 1000" should mean exactly that. Presumably the first 1000 people who send the voucher in....???
If they are saying its a draw and it's random, then when is the cut off point for receiving entries?

i am a big fan of 24 (as you can tell by my name) so i jumped at the chance, however, when i rang em up they said its the first 1000 people to take a test drive between sometime in august and the end of semptember, but you dont leave with the DVD, you have to fill in a form, and then your form has to be a winner, and then they post em out at the end of october and day that it takes 28 days to arrive so its like december before you'll have it if you win one!

This thread was linked to in one of Martin's emails. Having read it and looking into the details, we booked a test drive for 9am on the day the promotion started as my husband is a big fan of 24. He also had a lot of fun for half an hour driving a car that is way out of our price range! We posted the card the same morning, and the DVD set arrived today, so not nearly the long wait that we anticipated.
