If you're that concered about the environment have you thought about joining a group? Or going out planting trees in your back garden? Or not driving?
unneeded insult - what is the point in that?
I'm talking about more MSErs benefiting AND it would costs moneywise less. there's not a chance that a one-off MSE freebie electronic copy would dent their sales down to zero. the environment issues are an added benefit. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. How do you know it would cost them less? It may not what so ever. You haven't thought about all the implications involved in having the magizine online. For starters retailers wouldn't appreciate, this would have an impact on sales and therefore cost. I could go on...
And it wasn't an insult, just a mere observation that you seemed concerned for the environment so I suggested ways you could contribute.0 -

Thanks Martin, just ordered mine, look forward to reading it when it arrives.0

my point being:
Save trees, energy, royal mail van polution, costs for the Moneywise people.... you'll see why
Giving readers of MSE the chance to have a free electronic copy would save these resources:
Moneywise's costs would be reduced significantly for this one-off promo by going digital and so would enable them to provide a free read to more than 10,000 people to have the chance of a read of their magazine and so helps their promotion AND as well more MSErs :money:
In this instance I was saying if we ALL (not just 10,000) got a free electric copy, more people get it at less cost for Moneywise and the environment.
I'm not somebody who says all printed material should go digital, I am somebody who thinks about more people benefiting from a promo like this. Would you put up with an electric copy so ALL MSErs could have an electric copy too???
Hi punkrjb,
In answer to your question above, no I wouldn't put up with an electronic copy so more MSEr's could benefit because in a selfish way I wouldn't benefit as I wouldn't read the electronic version if it was available. I could subscribe to a shares magazine i read occasionally and could read that online the night before it arrives on my doorstep but I would choose not to as I like the printed version. also it would be there for future reference.
Also the email goes out to 1.8m + subscribers now so a lot of the details or offers are on a first come first served basis, in this case the first 10,000.
As for the environment, my green credentials are beyond reproach but the bottom line is that I don't see anyone living in a cave foraging for food these days. That is the only way we will be truly green and care for the environment but better not light a fire as we will be releasing CO2 (and no the trees do not soak up equal to that released when burnt.) Hopefully you are not insulted by my comments.0
