When you said in your original post "It's not working....any ideas?" does this mean she has tried to switch it on? If any electronic item gets wet you need to dismantle it as much as possible and leave it somewhere warm, but not too hot, to dry out for a few days. The most important thing though is NOT to switch it on.

Hence the expression "That's pi**ed on the chips" !!!
I agree, leave it in the airing cupboard for at least 2 days with the battery out. Good luck.

This sounds like a case of £90 down the pan! Does she really have to take the bloody thing everywhere with her?

I wish you all the luck in the world.

My foster brother accidentally dropped my phone down the loo a few years ago when we were on holiday. After that point it was deceased. I was lucky that it was just one of those cheap standard Nokia ones.
My ex boyfriend's dad managed to get me a Nokia from the local market. He owned a fruit and veg stall and was friends with the guy who sold phones and accessories.

To this day I never let anyone touch my phone.lol.

    xx

A common problem, my son did exactly the same thing two months ago, we dried it off as much as we could by dismantling it as far as posssible, take off covers, battery etc then we placed the items in a box with rice granules, why rice you say, well rice granules soak up moisture. We left it like that for a week. Took it out of the box and put it back together and hey presto it was back working fine as it did prior to dropping in the loo. Worth a try, if that fails then you should be covered by your house insurance as previously mentioned
    Cheers

  • Seems prevalent to youngsters - my daughter dropped hers down the loo TWICE can you believe when travelling in the Far East. Agree hopefully if it dries naturally it should recover.
