I received the email with the £49.99 offer.
This was because I had previously subscribed to receive the latest offers from ebuyer (registered from homepage on ebuyer).
However I didn't have an ebuyer account set up...so can't get the £49.99!
I've rang them and politely explained the situation.
They asked me to forward the email from the same email account they originally sent it to...which I did.
They are now saying I couldn't have received the email because I haven't got an account set up!!!
I definitely received it...surely they could check their records to see who they've sent the email to!!
So, if you're registered to receive emails with the latest offers, they're saying you can't get them if you don't also have an account setup!!
They didn't say that when I subscribed!! :rolleyes:0 -
all you need to do is ring them up and tell them that their email link does not work.
then they will tell you to place the order whilst on the phone to them and then they will ask for the order number and they can then change the total to the lower amount.
or if you have placed the order ring them up and tell them that the price has still not been changed despite being reassured that it would be. you simply say that you spoke to someone earlier and they told you they would change the price but it has not been changed yet.
they have loads of staff there so if it does not work at first just ring immediately back and chances are you will get through to someone else.

There are different email flyers being sent - i'm also on their mailing list, and received the "offer" email this morning, but mine clearly states £69.99 - unlike a colleague in work who got the email for £49.99
If they want to play that game, i'll just get my colleague to order it for me at the lower price !0 -
I didnt have the email but logged on and saw the price was £69 I rang the sales line and the girl asked me to log in and purchase the gps at £69, she would then reduce the price while I waited to £49. I logged in and followed the screen and she reduced the price to £49, email confirmed and account shows £49, so give them a call.0

I rang them, and they wouldn't let me have it at the lower price. They said it was selected customers only. It seems to depend on who answers the phone as to how flexible they are.0

Here's my story.....
Tried a few times yesterday morning, culminating in "I'll transfer you to presales who can adjust the price but need proof that you rx'ed the email", when I heard that I hung up in despair! (cos I didn't have the email)
Anyway, they called me back in the afternoon saying "we got cutoff...is there anything we can do for you" I said "yeah, sell me the satnav at £49.99"...she told me she'd be able to adjust the price there & then, but I'd decided I wanted to pay via Paypal so said I'd mull it over. She said, "ok then, if you want it later, just buy it at £69.99 & get in touch & we'll adjust the price down". So I bought it, paid via paypal & got in touch via her email address - it bounced back "unknown recepient"....oh dear, I can sense what's coming on now! I therefore raised an enote & surprise, surprise, got a reply saying "You're not eligible for this discount". I then sent them the newsletter email (which I never actually received, but sourced from someone else). They then relented & said ok, we'll refund you the £20, but because you paid by Paypal, we can't do it until it's got to the invoice stage (which will be tomorrrow),
Talk about jumping through hoops!0 -
Sent them an eNote, apparently it's an offer sent to those who haven't ordered in the last six months.
You'd think common sense would be to reward their LOYAL customers instead of effectively getting LOYAL customers to subsidise their NON-LOYAL customers.
Does that mean i have to STOP buying from Ebuyer for at least 6 months to qualify for any future deals ????
NOT IMPRESSED !!!

I got the email from ebuyer too. Having purchased one of these units at the £59.99 price at the beginning of February, I think you were being spun a line0 -
I just logged back in, and it was up for £49.99. I promptly ordered one.0
