on dmp..but o/s balance demanded in full

I had posted earlier about this company but received no response...so i thought i wud try again and ask people about it differently.

Allied International Credit took over a pnl loan from LloydsTSB...AIC refer to them as there client and yet LLoyds say the debt is thers now....anyway i am on a dmp with several other creditors and 2 othr cc with lloyds..these r being looked aftr by lloyds and payments made as per usual...i am also paying AIC the amounts previously paid to lloyds...AIC took over the debt back in late october and i informed them about my debt counsellor at the beginning..they took no notice and wrote asking fro details in dec..i replied again..and from what i can c they hav nvr contacted the debt counsellor (at CAB)..now out of the blue they want the balance of 2k..or ''consider legal action''..if this went to court..would they b sucessful..for example get judgement and a baliffs warrant..if i can show that i hav been making payments for the last 12 months along those previously agreed and 16 months to othr creditors...just seems daft that 2 othr cc debts tht r larger with lloyds are being treated differently (no int and balances r reducing)..sorry for being long winded.

    hi there
my guess is that they are just trying to put the wind up you to get you to pay more, but you should take all this back and forth to your debt counsellor. I am sure she/he will have seem the same thing a lot of times and will be able to advise you accordingly.
