Hi again everyone, i'm still here, been busy counting down the days to my OR interveiw, and that day is tomorrow, 4th March 2008 2pm, the last stepping stone on the road to BR....
I'm pretty cool about the interveiw, as i have have already spoke to her last week, and she sounds very nice and told me not to worry if i couldnt remember everything from years ago etc, put my mind at rest.
The one thing that is bothering me is, i have to send her the last 12 months bank statements, and i'm sure i have read a few people's threads on here about people who have been on gala bingo, my statements have loads of deposit's on them for gala.
How the heck do i explain that one?
Any help please.
Thanks
Viva....;)

Ekk, theres not a lot you can do about it as the evidence is there in black n white.
Best to be honest about it.
It will all depend on your OR & how much you spent and lost at Gala.
The worst that could happen is a BRO but thats not the end of the world.
I'm not always convinced that bingo is gambling really. You can easily spend as much on the lottery as Bingo, yet the lottery is considered ok by most and the costs to it can easily be hidden. But thats only my opinion:rolleyes:
Good luck for tomorrow and let us know how it goes please. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Hi dave,
As long as you weren't gambling thousands of pounds it shouldn't be a problem.
Our debt and credit card statements were littered with all manner of embarrassing entries;:o car auctions;;) foreign holidays; off licences; some very interesting clubs:j and an inexplicable number of hotel reservations.
If the odd trip to Gala Bingo was your only indulgence you could be in line for cannonisation.:D

Thanks for the fast reply BLTN and Richard, what does BRO mean?
I'm just hoping for a slap on the wrist.
We did win £1000 before xmas (September ish) on gala, but shortly afterwards we paid out £600 to bailiffs, the rest on normal living.
As you said its all on there on black and white, i'm not hiding anything, so she may just give me a few lashes.

BRO means Bankruptcy restriction order.
They are explained here
I'm not sure you would get one though for a bit of playing on Gala. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

I have'nt included my bank card yet,as i want to make sure all my payments are going into my new account, but i'll tell her that and ask for a few days before i send it to her chopped up....

Whilst gambling can result in a BRO, your losses have to be material to your liabilities. So if the bingo is only a small amount, it might get mentioned in passing but that's all.
And I have seen far more embarrassing things on bank and credit card statements....................;)0 -
Thanks for the reply JCS1.
I'll just take it on the chin whatever comes, and be honest.
I will update my BR diary once the phone call is over.
Time for some sleep now.
