I need to borrow £10,000 for a year, to buy my brother and his wife out of a property , the morgage on which we cannot change for another year without losing £8,000 on the property. Would this qualify as a 'purchase' on a 0% card? any help would be greatly appreciated.....

I am afraid it would not.0

If you had a MBNA card with 0% BT facility with a credit limit of 10,000 then you could BT to your current a/c.0

You say thay you cannot change the mortgage - does this mean you are tied in to a particular product?
If so there is no reason why you cannot get a further adavance to buy out your family.
It will not come interest free of course.0
