Hi
Was wondering if anyone can recommend a cd - maybe they used themselves - that can be played at our civil wedding. I would like the bridal march (which I presume is the "here comes the bride" tune) and other nice music for background.
thanks

Are there any free CDs with any of the wedding mags at the moment? Or try one of the classical chillout style CDs (my parents are musicians and think I'm mad for buying them but they have tracks I like!), they are good for background music.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

I'm looking for a nice version of the wedding march too, not the awful tinny versions we've managed to find online (they sound like they were recorded on an old Bontempi organ lol). Preferably a full orchestra with organ (even tho it's only a civil ceremony)
Any suggestions greatfully recieved!0 -
I actually found a lovely cd last night after having a good search online, it's called
BRIDE'S GUIDE TO WEDDING MUSIC FOR CIVIL CEREMONIES
http://www.naxos.com/catalogue/item.asp?item_code=8.570227-28
I've included a link below to the site I found it on (although it's available from Amazon etc too) as if you register for a free account, you can listen to the first 25% of each track free on pc so you get a good idea of which songs, if any, you like.
The album is reasonably priced at under £10 but mabey have a look in local library and see if you can find a similar collection?0 -
Having gone through this dilemma already myself and wasted money on cds that have had a good review and then I didn't like, I would recommend that you go on the www.utube.com website and do a search for wedding songs, bridal marches. Listen to the hundreds of wedding songs that people have had to get an idea of what you like and then you can download songs from www.itunes.com and burn your very own cd that you can keep for years to come.
GOOD LUCK! :j0 -
Have you tried emusic.com at all? They have a lot of the more obscure albums and tracks for download, and they seem to have quite a few wedding albums. It would let you download only the indivdual tracks you need and save you spending money on a whole album if you didn't want most of it. They seem to have an offer for 50 free downloads just now as well so very MSE too

Looks like a fab album, perfect for relaxing background music and has the Bridal march for when you arrive etc. Had a listen and notice it on Play.com for £7.990
