HELP Washing stuck

Hi All,

Can some help me. My old washing machine wont open and I have a full wash in it!
Its a Hotpoint Aquarius 800 wm 12 I've tried putting it to a different end cycle but the lock still wont open. Failing that can you recommend an electrician please.

You turn it off at the power, either at the plug or the fuse.

Then leave it for 10 mins and then set it to the drain cycle and turn it on?

Hopefully the water should drain, or there may be something stuck in the drainage pipe.

Sounds familiar - unfortunately. Try the tips here. ie turning off at the wall for a while. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice. I've tried putting to another spin cycle it works fine but still wont open! Will leave till morning to attempt to haul out from under worktop the plug is right at back of it.

This sometimes happens if the filter is blocked. Most washers have them located at the front under the door. Usually you just need to place a couple of old towels on the floor in frontof the filter to mop any leakage.
