Easy party fruit platter photo included.

Went to a Conference with work the other week and admired the fruit platter they had prepared. It looked really nice as the centrepiece of the table and was very popular with those on a diet.

Therefore did a scaled down version for a family dinnner and it was really easy to make. Just use fruit that won't go brown etc within a few hours.
I just washed cherries, grapes , strawberries. Cut off the top third of a pineapple and thinly sliced the rest. Then just threw on tangerine pieces.
You could do a bigger one with more fruit and small whole bananas.

Much easier than doing a fruit cocktail and having to chop all the fruit.

Unfortunately my photo is not the best and doesn't do it justice, the pineapple is wonky and I have put the fruit a bit too closed together but anyway it will give you an idea. I just used a tray wrapped in tinfoil. Left it covered in cling foil for a few hours after making it and it was fine.

This is a great idea! Looks really nice and attractive with all the colours and the pineapple. Will try this next time I have friends over for breakfast/brunch. (don't know why I'm typing italics all of a sudden??)
