Combo Microwave £39.97 at Asda

Just back from Asda's in Beckton after getting Sky half price renewed for 3 months yet again and saying to the sky call centre guy (Scottish & helpful!) that my microwave blew up last week so my weekend is hunting for a new one. Top bloke said try Asda's they are very good for cheap microwaves.

I picked up this Tesco priced model at £65.68 for £39.97 at Asda instead (less a further £5.30 off from using coupons from zing mag etc.). That's a mere £34.67 from me!

The best bit is that this is a combo microwave with grill,oven & microwave!

The worst bit is that there is a large bit that juts out the back but fine if like me you have your microwave angled into a corner or have space behind.

I wonder if Asda's shift stock between stores?

BTW mine were on the front end of the aisle in white boxes not in the microwave aisle.

Aldi's offers next week have a microwave combi for 39.95 which looks quite good.

Just bought the same microwave for £49.99 at Argos. I did pop into the ASDA next door first but they didn't have any combi microwaves.

Seems to be very regional.

Just back from Asdas (again) had a peek at the combo microwaves - my you have been busy! Only had 3 left on display!

Also, picked up some Spinach & Ricotta Canelloni reduced from £3 to £1. Came packaged in a metallic take-away style tray. It felt very weird sticking the metallic tray in the microwave on top of the glass plate covered in aluminium foil! Half expected the microwave to start exploding on me. But it didn't and tastes great. Timer set at 35mins/200degC as per oven instructions on box. Still got to try the grill! Wait until my husband finds out (away right now) he CAN now stick metal in the microwave!
