Ok, need some help putting these into practice and opinions as to whether they are any good.
I have an allotment and always have a glut of veg so thought of running a local veg box scheme. I have one person on board so far.....there are two sizes with two different prices. How can i get more people on board? should i do some leaflets pr someting?
Second idea is to sell homemade soups. We make lots of these. Different types and are so tasty. What regulations would be involved in selling these and how should I go about it?
opinions and ideas please

I dont know much about this at all, but I know my sister wanted to do a very small scale food selling stand at a car boot once and she had to get a health and hygiene certificate from somewhere, and then display it at the stand.
We have an allotment too and when we have excess veg I usually take it into my day job, price it up and leave an honesty box with it so some of the staff can buy it. Just an idea.Make £5 a day challenge - February £54.28/£140

Have you put posters up in the local wholefood and health food shops? I think it's usually free if they approve it.0

I'm afraid i can't help with the how to's but i can tell you that in the office where i work (i work for a publishing company)
we have a veggie box scheme theres a local producer that grows organic vegetable and fruits and they have a special discount for everyone at the ofice
they deliever to the office every thursday and a lot of the company buy the boxes from him
Its a really good idea and he gets promoted by word of mouth through the office from those that have the boxes, he does different kinds so he'll have a mediteranean veg box a small veg box a large veg box a root veg box its really a great little thing to have
Good luck in your venture

Just a word of warning - you need to check your allottment agreement. I know mine (I rent from teh Council) states I can't sell produce. It would be awful if you lost your allottment because of this.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Who needs to register?
Registration applies to most types of food business, including catering businesses run from home and mobile or temporary premises, such as stalls and vans. If you use two or more premises, you will need to register all of them.
If food premises are used by several catering businesses (for example, a village hall or conference centre), the person who allows the premises to be used for this purpose is responsible for registering them.
