I'd be interested in getting paid for having banners on a website, but what type of website do you have to have?

I'm assuming they wouldn't just accept any old website that has been set up...any pointers for a site that is likely to be accepted?

Look here http://www.money4banners.co.uk there's terms and conditions somewhere on the site.

Your site address must end in .uk or be aimed at a uk audience. No adult/illegal stuff, no frames/iframes and at least three pages. No copyright material or stuff "Borrowed" from other sites.

It's worth applying if you have a site. Trouble, if you get rejected they don't say why, just ask you to look at the T&Cs.

    Also look at https://www.matched.co.uk

But they may not have any advertisers for your site. Still worth trying.
  • Looks like I had the type of site they want, but they've got no advertisers left...
    Dear Webmaster

Thank you for applying to https://www.money4banners.co.uk.

The number of applications we approve is dependent on the number of advertisers we currently have within our network.

We have now reached the maximum number of publishers per advertiser and therefore are unable to accept your application at this time.

However, we will keep you on our register and will inform you as soon as advertisers become available.

If you do not wish to be contacted in the future please email admin@money4banners.co.uk and we will remove you from our database.

We do not share information with third parties and your information will not be used for any other purpose other than the Money4banners network.

Many thanks for your time and interest in out network.

    Kind Regards

    The Money4banners Team

I guess I'll have to try matched!

  • How do you mean "I don't know where to start" and "don't have a clue"

Do you have a web site? Could you make a web site? Or do you have no experience at all with web site?

If you have a web site, or have the skills to make one then you're half way there.

Bit different if you have never made a web site, but not impossible.

Ive never made a website before.. I got a quote from a website builder and he wanted £1800 for a simple site!

What sort of site are you wanting to produce?
What you want to spend on a site depends on its final use, whether it is supporting a serious business or is just a punt to see if you can make some money.

Post some more details into the thread here and I am sure I and others could help you set up.

Not the right time of year at the moment, but where I live lots of people have fruit trees and just let the crop drop and rot on the ground! You could offer a picking service, with 50% commish if they want you to take it to sell at farmer's markets instead of keeping it themselves. Or if you know someone with a commercial kitchen and the right licences/registration etc., offer a canning/preserving service, so they can store their own crop.

I'd do it myself if I had a van and the free time, I hate to see perfectly good food wasted like that.

I'll build you one for a tenth of the price, lol! ;)

It all depends on what you want form the site, but they're not that difficult to build...

Don't give him any money, you could do it yourself for free. If you really want someone else to build it PM me and I'll recommend a good trusted web designer.

If I were you I would try to do it myself, it's not hard and you may learn a new skill.

I did ask if you had a web site, but I actually meant did you have web space?

You often get free web space with your ISP. If you haven't got web space then you can get some for free. The best I have tried is Freehostia, do a google search and you'll find it.

I also found a free ebook that shows you how to set up wordpress as a small web site instead of a blog. It's actually very good, and I recon someone who "didn't have a clue" could follow it and set up their first web site.

If you want to give it a try let me know and I'll dig it out.

can anyone give me some advice. I recently bought a U.K Drop shipping web site in the hope that it might earn me an extra £100 a month. So far have sold nothing! The site itself is fine, got my hubby to order something and it turned up O.K. The site sells what everybody seems to be looking for ie Wii, xbox, Playstation etc at very low prices. I have done SEO, targetted traffic, and targeted emails, have also had about 5 ads on Google Adwords. I'm getting about 50 clicks a day but no buyers. I don't know if this whole dropship thing is a bit of a con or if I just have to be patient?
