    Hi there
have a look at your local household waste recycling facility. There were a dozen bikes at mine in various states of repair. If there is one that is the right size, you could then get tester pens from Halfords (do they still do those:confused: ), and repaint it funky colours.

Crayola often have samples you can get of art stuff. Also look on the freebies board to see what is on offer. The only thing is you might have left it a bit late to do these as they often take 14-21 days to arrive.

I don't know but maybe you can find an art box that is how to make your own earrings? Would sort out two things in one. Or else ask family to contribute by buying these things.

    regards
    chev

Can you really get bikes from Freecycle? Neither of my kids have a bike - one got stolen, one broke :o
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

Spud i have given away 3 childrens bikes and one adult bike on my freecycle. The only thing i did was put a warning that the bikes should be tested before riding :)

  • Try arts and crafts party.
Pasta, glitter, glue, paint....you get the idea.
Just make sure the floor etc. is covered.
Try the Bero website for cake ideas.
Why not do a "proper" party.:j
Ham/cheese spread sandwiches, scones with money, jelly and ice cream....just like mother used to make.
    Good luck.xxx

  • Have you had a look on the freebies board, for makeup etc? boots clubcard points and codes to get more, there is also a thread on the old style board about making own cosmetics. You could put together a basket with pampering stuff in my dd likes mud packs and girly things in hers, lipglosses, scrunchys, hairbands, nail files- a lot of stuff also comes free with mags, so see if any left over in newsagents- always worth a try, same asking for free samples from beauty shops.

My mother put me together a gift bag of make up/cosmetics for my last bday, all free samples from the counters in debenhams/boots and there was LOADS in there so that's worth a shot!
