I am hopefuly going to put as many as I can in 1 folder and do a few complete sets. I cant see away of doing sets of every design without having several folders and loads of work.
I have ordered a card swatch for a company that as been very good and they are sending me that free of charge so 1 will go in the folder with all the sizes they do and I am making all different sized things and will mark each one that will be avalibale in which card and size.
Makng th ecards is the easy bit getting the folder ready is proving a nightmare...lol
Samples I hadnt even thought of that yet  but your right people do need to see ful sets in the design they might want
would it work on a deposit bases do you think?
so I didnt get time wasters
Such as £10 deposit but they got the £10 knocked off the completed order once proofs had been passed, Or do you think that wouldnt work

The lady I have made wedding stationery for charges £5 for 3 sample invitations. She told me she started not charging for samples but realised quite quickly that she was getting through a lot of samples and not necessarily seeing the customer return so was out of pocket. I like your idea of knocking the money off of the order.

Could you provide photos of items you can't put in folders so people can see things like size compared to the size of the invite? Do you have a website yet? Ohhh it's all so exciting!

  • As always thank you Rainmac for your help .
No I dont have a web site yet but if it takes off I might get my son to build me one.
My friends shop as a web site and hes going to put pictures on the home page
I finished 1 set yesterday (Invite, thank you and Order of service) all the art deco one which I will upload and send him the photo bucket link I am also going to send him a few more I have done but they are not in sets
At the back og the folder I am putting the card swatch and cut out pieces of paper stating the sizes by code that each one comes in.

For anyone that likes the 3d cards I have up loaded to make them easy to find I have put them in thier own folder

I am also sorting it out to make other stuff easier to find..Just doing the Christmas decoupage now should be done by this afternoon

Ok, this isn't a card but uses card making 'principles' so thought I'd post it here (hope that's ok Princess Polly?). I've spent the last 2 days making this book for a present for our godson-to-be. I bought a plain white album, found out lots of facts and details about godson-to-be's birthdate (such as prices of things, numbers ones, name meaning, others who share the same name or birthday...). BIG thanks to Nemotoad for supplying her info :D

I'm really pleased with how the book looks and it's all now wrapped up with the terramundi jar we also bought (had this personalised with name and date - I gave the wrong date initially so had to buy another one  . The lovely people at terramundi gave me a third off the price of the second one for being such a numpty the first time round :p ).

Front of album - cross stitched letter 'L'...

Example page layout. I used cartridge paper to print text and backed onto pale blue bazzill card...

    IMGP2339.jpg

Album in box wrapped & with a sixpence for luck...

    IMGP2346.jpg

Album with terramundi jar wrapped in cello...

    IMGP2350-1.jpg

Just need to make the card now...:p
