Wow mum of 2 that's amazing looks like it took ages! So how hard was it??Did it take weeks to make?
Well done you!
I thought it was hard too and then Polly told me just to do it and it was actually quite easy. The embossing on the front was with cuttlebug and mounted the inside is done with stickers I had. the pop out was just a hole cut out on the fold line and two lines scored on either side so it folds when closed0 -

You make it sound quite easy but I'm not convinced!!0 -
WOW mumoftwo that is your first card? It is BEAUTIFUL!! I absolutely love it.
I wish everyone would stop going on about shoppingI haven't spent any money in so long because I have been trying to save for christmas and it is killingggg me!
I think we should all get together at a show it would be great!
I have been crafting for 2 years and just do it for myself. Sometimes I have work in magazines but it took the fun out of it for me. I don't take classes or give classes or anything. I just scrapbook for my kids because one day I want them to look back and have something more then a pile of photos. I dont want them to see a child in a picture and wonder who the hell they were!
Ahhh first post back on the board

Yep I breastfed both of my brats, it was really hard, I felt like a bit of a recluse but it was all worth it. I really admire women who breastfeed in public, I always felt too embarrassed. I think a lot of younger mums don't even contemplate breastfeeding just go straight to the bottle.
Rainmac - the other half spends a bit too on computer games and clothes, so he couldn't really complain.
Maggiebob - my other half shows a little interest in my crafting, but he soon gets bored when I start babbling on.
Pinkladymel - I can't believe the magazines make you pay the postage, sounds a bit cheeky! I have only just started scrapbooking, but I love it. I think its because you can make them so personal, adding little comments and captions.0 -
I breastfed DD until she stopped at nearly 3... Used to get right on my wick towards the end though! I do a lot of charity work trying to raise awareness and make it seen as 'normal' but like you've experienced mumoftwo, some people just make their mind up not too and that's it...
Pinkladymel I'd like to start scrapbooking for pretty much the same reason you said... It's just a little daunting getting started... Maybe when I have my crafting area set up (I'm comandeering under the stairs) I might start... Inicidently my OH sometimes takes an interest, he likes to tell me how talented I am... I don't mind that! Although he does keep refering to it as crapping...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Sorry, no it is not my first card, but it is my first pop up card. Never really attempted them before but I like them so will be doing them again, maybe special ones for family at Christmas.
Wonder how much Polly has bought at the Craft Fair today, hope she had a great time0 -

Krystaltips - I breast fed both of mine until they were about one. My boobs are huge anyway but when I had my first son Leo, one of them swole up to twice its normal size!! It was horrendous, but looking back I can see the funny side. (sorry am I sharing too much!). Made me giggle that your other half calls it "crapping".
Polly - I suppose you wont be on here for a few days then while you play with all of your new stuff! I would love to come in Feb and meet up with everyone. Is it easy enough to get to as I would be coming by train. What was the website for the card, I find I go through loads and 10 sheets for a pound sounds good? I need to stock up on ribbons and bits and bobs like buttons for scrapbooking. I like that Stephanie from create and craft, she always seems so nice, Dawn Bibby seems a bit snottier!0
