might be worth getting in touch with sony.ive read on here that sony offer a free reconditioned psp if the broken ones still under warrenty.apparently they dont ask for a receipt or for you to send the broken one back.try saying you got it for a xmas present.its worth a try0

Unfortunatly there are lots of fake sony batteries about and some claiming higher capacitythat don't be aware that lots of those sold on ebay are fake.
If you can get a genuine one for £15 then go for it thats a good price.0
