Banks will not employ someone with an active ccj and some defaults. They do a 10 year check and look at all finances. I literally had to tell them the colour of my loo paper.

One network also checked my hubby and they wanted to know the details of my kids. I found that a little OTT to be honest.

It will be difficult but maybe you can get employment in a related role in finance. I would post a polished CV on the job websites like Monster.com and jobsite.co.uk and reed.co.uk and other job websites.

That sounds a little heavy. OUt network do check employers refs for FS roles, and they went back for 6 years. They did a normal credit check and as long as its not a CIFAS you will be ok. They look at all cases on merit, so if you were a complete !!! and just stopped paying then I gues you would be out of luck?!?1
