B&F Prepaid Mastercard

I seen a advert for the B&F Prepaid Mastercard, this card seems to be issued by the Newcastle Building Society, charges a £3.99 fee, but purchase and Cash withdrawels are Free !, it also offers 10% discount with Hertz Car hire ?, which must mean it is suitable for car hire, does anyone have one of these cards to see what they think of it ?, it seems to look more like a 'Real' credit card, but not sure if it is embossed or flat ?.

Dont have this particular card..to be honest there are better out there with cheaper fees...and the website is asking for secure information to be scanned and sent..although the site isn't showing secure...plus they ask for a £20 first payment..to cover fee and initial top up

I have a Sun card (Tuxedo) which I am happy with.
I have the "Pay as you go" version as I don't use it very often.
It cost £6.45 for the card, but they give you £5 when you make your first deposit. You get a paying in book for Barclays, which is free, but they have other options too. You also get free email confirmation on money paid in.

Or google "prepaid credit cards" as there are quite a few sites that compare cards.
The Sun card requires less ID to open too. I didn't have to send them anything, just confirm I was on the electoral role and give my gas account number (IIRC).0 -
Check out this thread, there is a good comparison list on there too
