Summons/Writ Interest

Hi All,
I hope someone can assist me with understanding what "summons/writ interest" is. I am working on clearing all of my 'other-half's' debt and have requested a statement from a the solicitor handling his CCJ default debt, as I had a feeling it was nearing the end of payment time (he has been paying for 6.5 years now).
Anyway they provided the statement which barring a few errors, which they re rectifying, has at the end the following:
Credit & Debit Lines balane: 73.77
Fees and Costs
Judgement/Fifa solicitors cost £55.00
Court Fee £113.00
Solicitor's Cost £80
Interest
Summons/Writ Interest £742.43
Judgement Interest £7.88
I like to understand exactly what we are paying for and my other half is not quite the financial whizzkid, and can't remember what it is for.
Other potential useful info: (original debt = £3418.77)
Thanks in advance!

It looks as if the when the original judgement was set - the creditor was allowed to add interest to the outstanding amount.I am a debt counsellor working in the voluntary sector - we don't charge our clients for the work we do!0
