No hun, in our contract they only maintain the house not the boarders  they wernt too bad really, 4 panels, nails and a post was around £60... just an expense we all could have done without0 -
That is so true..... My Dad used to have the same problem with his fence.... every year about his time, the wind would take down panels on either side, so a couple of years ago, he stuck in the concrete post ones, and so far he hasn't had one panel come away!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Hi sarah :j we need the concreat ones, but as we are being moved soon we will stick with these. Well we started around noon and finished a 4.30pm. It looks amazing. Will get a pic in the morning. We had a single divan and lots of rubbish in front of it so moving all that was the hard part but we did it. We will be taking sacks of rubbish down to the tip most of the day tommorow. I am worn out now though... still havent finished part of an order but i will complete on tonight and one tommorow. Hope you have had a good day ~ i see you payed some of you cc's :j well done you!0

Yeah, the statement I was moaning about yesterday appeared online overnight, so I just paid that off a little while ago.... have to wait until the 9th for the next one though! Just realised thats a Sunday, so it will have to wait til the Monday!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Ohhh i hate that sarah. My banks in limbo till tomorrow when it sorts itself out  Sooo annoying :rotfl: So a week till you can pay that one off... that feels like an age away, hope it comes quick for you
Ohhh we dont know, whe dont know anything  They have to give you the same spec (ie 3 bedrooms for three bedrooms, garden for a garden etc etc) but they can put us anywhere as long as its on a bus route. We have specified three different areas though. Could be years yet (which i think it will be) but we arnt making any huge improvements to the house as it will be demolished. We have just had our house rewired as its a fire hazard and they have ripped part of my wallpaper but i havent replaced it yet because it will look odd0 -
The same thing happened to my Mum.... there was talk of re-bilding the houses while I was still at home (I am 28 next week so we are talking 12+ years) and they finally knocked them down a couple of years ago! Funniest thing was tho, after my sister and I both moved out, it took Mum all that time to get moved to a new house..... They/we lived in a 3 bed, and as it was only her, hubby and the dog, they wanted to move to a smaller house.... 9 years later they finally got moved! Apparently there were no families in small houses that hey could have swapped with... In Oxfordshire, or anywhere for that matter, I find that very hard to believe!'We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars' - Oscar Wilde0

Wow really. Yes i find that hard to believe too. Sometimes you do wonder how the council works  These homes were supposed to be demolished when i was 7 over 15 years ago... thats why i am not holding my breath this time. They always find something else to spend the money on :rotfl:0 -
Just wanted to say hi Pap - look forward to reading your diary.
