I bought one of these for £12.99 and it's the best kitchen gadget I've ever bought - the kids love it.

I got one of these after a visit to the continent where we had waffles every day for breakfast - Yum !!!

Unfortuntely I have never managed to get this unit to make an edible waffle - they always come out all soggy and cooked at one side - raw at the other.

The recipe that I have makes about 50 pints of waffle mixture - do you have a good recipe that I could try as mine has been consigned to the back of my cupboard for that last few months ??
Your really can not beat a good bargain !!!

I thought it was the same as pancake mix with self-raising flour???

What are you using at the moment??!

The waffle iron that I got from Tchibo had a recipe book with it (more like instructions really). I followed the recipe to the letter (I think) and ended up with about 50 pints (more like 5 oints really) of batter that was rubbish !!!

I will give this a go and keep my fingers crossed - thanks

I'll ask my wife for advice - I know we use the almond waffle recipie in the Tichibo book. Our first batch were a bit under cooked, so we now leave them a bit longer - it's trail and error, but we've never made anything that was inedible and certainly not 50 pints of mixture.

I've confirmed that the mix we use is the Sunday Waffle one on page 29 of the Tichibo booklet. Let me know if you haven't got it and I'll send it.
