our stove is leaking oil in the kitchen and of course everyone is shut possibly til tuesday so we've had to shut the heating off incase the house blows up, so the house is freeeeezing! but just think of how much money we're saving lol!0 -
Wow Hypno, you really amaze and inspire me! The extra earning potential you have is fab. You are doing brilliantly well. :j
Thank you! I would hate to think of the financial pickle we would be in without this board and all the challenges it has given me in the last 16 months!!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. ok, this has nothing to do with making money but saving some
I was desperate for an easter egg and told OH that i HAD to have one.
Until we went into Tescos and saw the price to buy one on its own, (OH doesnt do chocolate so more for me) didnt see the point in buying 2 so instead i bought myself 4 of the 25p Tesco bars (2 dark and 2 milk if anyone is interested)
Half way through bar number 2 and bought them on Friday so not doing too bad (and i know if i had bought an easter egg it would have lasted no more than an hour)
Not adding anything on to my total for this, just chuffed that you lovely lot are rubbing off on me0 -

Well done for that - much better value to buy ordinary chocolate than Easter eggs anyway. I went one further and decided I wasn't going to let commercial, marketing and advertising pressure get to me - why should I eat chocolate on a specific day because all the media and supermarkets are telling me to? So I didn't buy any Easter eggs or chocolate and feel quite happy about it too!0 -
oooh, well done asset
I didnt think about being a victem of commercialism on Easter - OH and i dont do Valentines for that very reason - i think i need to adjust my values, realised ive got the same double standards as my Grandma, lmao
Well done for hitting target this month!!!!!0 -
I wish I knew what IMAO meant! I have got more to add to my target but am leaving it a while - I find I can never make £5 or £10 on a daily basis but make it in chunks, like a Quidco payout or mystery shopping payment.
Re the Easter chocolate stuff - I'm hoping I won't fall victim to after-Easter reduced Easter eggs! I think its something for children, but nicer when it involves more than just eating chocolate! Sometimes I think people only know one way of 'celebrating' Christmas, Easter etc, these days, which is just to overeat and drink! As a child I more remember Easter as a time we all went out as a family, to parks or places where you could be a part of the coming spring, with flowers and stuff! And rolling hard-boiled eggs down a hill! And painting them. We did have eggs, but I don't remember lots of them, or lots of eating as happens today.0 -

lmao (laughing my ar*e off)
I know what you mean about making £10 a day - i think its a lot easier to do it as an average which looks liek the way that we are both working it, although i aim for as much as possible every day its more like i have days of making nothing and then a good day where i make millions (cue evil laugh mwah hahah)
I remember the good old easter hols too, used to go everywhere with my grandma, car boots, walks in the woods and all sorts - dont remember it ever costin that much either, we always found something cheap to do lol
Nowadays is me and OH sleeping in late and watching hours of rubbish on tv - although i have managed to get 5 hours of study done this weekend - a nice bonus lol0 -
Sold some mouthwash from last Tesco H&B to sis for £20
I know......... but times are hard!
Am about to do an Ebay listing which should net me about another £20 - need to get it on NOW so that hopefully I'll get paid before the end of the month and I can include it in this month's total. Also, another few quid to add from cat boot sale which brings me up to £277.24. :j0
