hey hun. I only just saw this post and wanted to say well done for taking the steps. It does all seem very daunting. I was in a spiralling situation over a few years where I was at one point paying more into my childcare than my take home salary and that is why i took out a loan so i could stay in work ever hoping my circs would improve etc. they never did. I finally took the plunge in October and got my early discharge this week.
The uncretainty is scary cos i was unemployed when i declared mysefl br and returned to work the following month. I hadn;t mentioned to the OR until i did my I&E in Jan that I was preg either and they were absolutely fine with it all. They really seem to have doen all they can to help ease your worries and even though things are uncertain, it is the not knowing that seems to be causing your stress and i hope that is resolved for you soon.
I am hoping with my pending arrival, i can have a whole fresjh starrt and i am glad you ahave a supportive partner now.. long may it last. XXXProud to be Member of BSC #92Hoping to get debt free again :wall::heart2: working hard to make my daughters proud :heart2:0 -

Thanks everyone for the additional comments, am also really glad that the thread has been viewed so many times, i really hope that my experience has helped others and i will always be happy to answer any queries or questions anyone has.
Well, it has been 3 months now since i received teh letter from the OR to say that i would be reviewed in 3 months, and guess what...on the 13th June I received a letter from the OR to say that I may be eligable for ED. The paper work has all been sent back, situation not really changed in 3 months so i guess that i just have to wait and see. I know that ED is never guaranteed but it doesnt stop you hoping does it? I have had a look at other MSE's expereinces of ED and the time scales that it has taken...i have also been on the IS website and aloth of people say that they check teh website and that it is often shown on there before the OR sends confirmation of ED..is this alwasy teh case, and what changes on the IS website? Is it just the discharge date that changes from teh automatic year date?
So, if anyone can let me know then that would be helpful. I guess now that it is a case of just waiting and hoping!0 -
Just read your post Princess....glad that stuff is ok, thanks for posting. Worried about your stress levels tbh. Roll on ED and good luck with that. So far so good eh, I am sure things will start to brighten with ED and the summer...we will have one this year, I was told! The bairn will bring a smile that lasts for years and years don't you worry. (I promise) and BR will ensure you can enjoy it with him/her.Great minds discuss ideas, Average minds discuss events, Small minds discuss people.

Hi guys
I called teh OR on Thursday last week as I received some info from the Land Registry - turns out that they dont need the info anyway, the guy that I spoke to said that the guy that was dealing with my case is back frm hl's next tues if i want to call back to double check, he said that they received my ED stuff a whle back, so anyway, he siad o keep an eye out for ED.
Anyway - I thought that as my case worker was away, then there woudl be no ED for a while, but, me being me, got into work Friday morning at around 7.30am and logged onto the site (it becomes an automatic reaction) and there it was - Discharged on 14th August. I refreshed the page as I could not believe it, then when it said the same ting after the refresh, i just burst into tears - so I have been discharged for just over a week and didnt now it. I am still in shock now. yesterday in the post the official letter came through, so thats it.
Its all a bit of a shock - BK for 6 months 3 days. people have said congratulations, i think that sounds a bit odd - its like - well done for getting a huge amount of debt and getting it written off - but i think that it is more about a fresh start. Already talking with my other half about moving in together now, so its onwards and upwards.
So - a big thank you to all on the forum - its a wealth of experience that you can draw on and relate to. I will still be readng posts and offering advice where i can.
I have applied for my credit report so that I can get that cleaned up.
So, still in shock, but relieved also. Thanks again to everyone!! xx:j :rotfl:0 -
Enjoy the future.
It seems a bit of an oddity an early discharge from bankruptcy. What does it mean? You really want an early erasure from the credit file rather than waiting 6 years.
Although, apart from maybe a future mortgage I dare say that obtaining credit is the last thing you're interested in.Gt NW 1/2 Marathon 21/2/2010 (Target=1:22:59) (6:20/mile) 1:22:47 (6:19):j:j
