morning all.
Hey Mrs S, sorry for your family's loss, and hope that MIL is going to be okay.... She'd be pleased to know she had so many well wishers on here! That'll help her recovery!
Hey IA, don't let the job thing get you down hun... you will manage, you always do, and you've had some positive news re Steve's promotion and the CAB training working out, this is the last piece of the jigsaw, and i know it'll come good for you. Chin up sweets!!
Keren, am so jealous about the holiday, i would love to get away for a bit, can't see it being this year though, i normally go somewhere every second year but didn't get last year or this, should be getting better off not worse!!
I'm feeling bummed at myself as my debt busting has kinda ground to a halt somewhat. need motivation. And now sigs aren't long enough to show everything i've cleared i forget how far i've come. annoying....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
greenwich girl - if you've exchanged then it would be a real bummer if it fell through, but it would cost the other party dear as you would get that money and they would lose out. OK, so the sale would go, but you would end up with money in your pocket before you look at selling again.
I'm just about to start phoning round all the taxi companies. Parking is horribly dear
It is £60 is we just turn up and £54 if we pre-book. Taxi will be around £20- £25 each way, so only marginally cheaper. OH's son is away at Uni so he can't 'taxi' us this year. I'm going to try to get a fixed price rather than it being on the meter, but last time I tried that, they said they couldn't do it. It just seems such a lot of money for a 15-20 minute journey

Awww GG, I hope the sale doesn't fall through. Try not to panic, these things are never straightforward. Have you checked with your solicitor if the 10% deposit is non-returnable or not? If they can't get their 10% back, it might put them off backing out at this stage."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Called in to to see if Mrs SS had heard - hugs to her.
GG - the 10% is yours. end of. Only if you breach the contract - i'e don't give vacant possession, sign Transfer etc are you in breach. If they do not complete you retain the 10% and decide if to sue for specific performance (make em buy it!) or remarket. Most folk keep the 10% and stick it in hte next auction.0 -
quick question !!!!!! is hummus houmous or however else you spell it?0
-
Houmous is a chickpea, garlic and tahini (sesame paste) dip from cyprus which is nice with pitta bread and salad. I often have it for lunch!0
